Day by day

  1. Day 1 — Arrival in Kathmandu

    Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, meet the representative and transfer to the hotel. Rest, hydrate and prepare for the high-altitude pilgrimage ahead.

  2. Day 2 — Kathmandu Temple Darshan & Yatra Briefing

    Morning darshan at Pashupatinath Temple, Guhyeshwari Shakti Peetha and Budanilkantha Temple. Attend a comprehensive afternoon briefing covering health precautions, packing, altitude behaviour, documentation and border procedures.

  3. Day 3 — Kathmandu — Syabrubesi / Timure

    Drive through Nepal's forested hills, river valleys and small settlements to Syabrubesi or Timure, the final overnight stop in Nepal before entering Tibet.

  4. Day 4 — Syabrubesi / Timure — Rasuwagadhi Border — Kerung

    Proceed to the Rasuwagadhi border, complete Nepal and China immigration procedures, and enter Tibet. Continue by road to Kerung as the journey begins its gradual ascent.

  5. Day 5 — Kerung — Saga

    Travel across the vast Tibetan Plateau through wide valleys, barren hills and high-altitude landscapes. Short stops are planned to support gradual acclimatization.

  6. Day 6 — Acclimatization Day in Saga

    Spend a dedicated acclimatization day in Saga at approximately 4,640 metres. Undertake only light walks, drink sufficient fluids, eat warm meals and rest in preparation for the higher-altitude stages.

  7. Day 7 — Saga — Lake Mansarovar

    Drive to sacred Lake Mansarovar at approximately 4,590 metres. On arrival, experience views of the turquoise lake and distant Mount Kailash. Time is provided for prayer, quiet reflection and a holy dip, subject to weather and local conditions.

  8. Day 8 — Lake Mansarovar — Darchen

    Spend a calm morning beside Lake Mansarovar before driving to Darchen, situated at approximately 4,575 metres. Darchen serves as the base for the three-day Kailash Kora. Rest and prepare trekking equipment for the Parikrama.

  9. Day 9 — Kailash Kora Day 1 — Darchen to Dirapuk

    Begin the sacred Mount Kailash Parikrama with a trek through the western valley. The north face of Mount Kailash becomes increasingly visible while approaching Dirapuk. Overnight near the Dirapuk monastery area at approximately 4,900 metres.

  10. Day 10 — Kailash Kora Day 2 — Dirapuk — Dolma-La Pass — Zuthulpuk

    Undertake the most difficult and sacred day of the Parikrama. Ascend to Dolma-La Pass at approximately 5,636 metres, the highest point of the Kora, and then descend past Gauri Kund towards Zuthulpuk. This demanding day requires strong fitness and careful attention to altitude symptoms.

  11. Day 11 — Kailash Kora Day 3 — Zuthulpuk — Darchen — Saga

    Complete the final approximately 12-kilometre section of the Mount Kailash circumambulation. After reaching the endpoint and taking lunch at Darchen, continue by road to Saga. The three-day Kailash Parikrama is completed.

  12. Day 12 — Saga — Kerung — Nepal Border — Kathmandu

    Drive back through Kerung, complete border and immigration formalities, enter Nepal and continue to Kathmandu for the final overnight stay.

  13. Day 13 — Kathmandu Departure

    After breakfast and according to the flight schedule, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport. The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra concludes.
