- Day 1 — Arrival and transfer to Kuala Lumpur
Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA / klia2). Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian capital, where the Petronas Twin Towers stand over colonial shophouses, temple lanes and some of the best shopping in Asia. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

- Day 2 — Kuala Lumpur: Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Park fountain show
Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Kuala Lumpur — the Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Park fountain show; Batu Caves and its 272 painted steps to the Murugan shrine; and Merdeka Square, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and Masjid Jamek. - Day 3 — Kuala Lumpur to Genting Highlands
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Genting Highlands — a 55 km, one-hour climb into the Titiwangsa range. A resort city at 1,800 metres in the Titiwangsa range, reached by cable car and cool enough to need a jacket in the evening. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Awana SkyWay cable car and the Chin Swee Caves Temple. Overnight in Genting Highlands.

- Day 4 — Genting Highlands to Penang
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Penang — the cable car down and a 60-minute flight from Kuala Lumpur. George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage port of clan houses, street murals and jetty villages, with the beach strip of Batu Ferringhi a short drive north. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the George Town heritage core and its famous street murals. Overnight in Penang.

- Day 5 — Penang: Kek Lok Si Temple and the Kuan Yin pagoda

A duty-free archipelago of 99 islands on the Andaman Sea, where a cable car climbs into rainforest above the long white beach of Pantai Cenang. The west-coast capital of Sabah under Mount Kinabalu, with reef islands twenty minutes offshore and a sunset market on the waterfront. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park islands of Manukan, Sapi and Mamutik. Overnight in Kota Kinabalu.

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Time for any last shopping before your transfer to Kota Kinabalu International Airport for the onward flight. The tour ends here, and we hope it is not your last visit to Malaysia.
