Day by day

  1. Day 1 — Dehradun — Nainital: Lakeside Arrival, Naina Devi Temple & Mall Road

Begin the tour with an early-morning pickup from Dehradun Airport, Railway Station, hotel or the agreed city location. Meet the driver, load the luggage and proceed towards the Kumaon hills. The route initially follows the plains before gradually entering forested foothills and winding mountain roads. Breakfast, lunch and comfort stops may be taken at suitable places en route. Lunch and refreshments are payable directly. Travel time may increase during weekends, holidays, summer vacations, monsoon conditions or because of road work. On reaching Nainital, proceed to the selected hotel or the nearest vehicle-accessible point. Several parts of Nainital operate under local taxi-union and traffic restrictions, so the main tour vehicle may not be permitted for every inner-city movement. Check in and rest after the journey. In the evening, enjoy a walk beside Naini Lake and visit the revered Naina Devi Temple located near the lakeshore. Temple access depends on arrival time, crowd conditions and local administration. Guests may opt for a boat ride through an authorised operator at their own cost. Boating is subject to weather, lake conditions, queue length and operating hours. Spend the remaining evening exploring Mall Road, visiting cafés, shopping for local products or relaxing by the lake. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. In case of late arrival, the lakefront and temple programme may be shortened or moved to the following day.

    Overnight: Nainital

  2. Day 2 — Kainchi Dham & Lake Circuit — Bhimtal, Naukuchiatal and Sattal

After breakfast, proceed towards Kainchi Dham Ashram, the spiritual centre associated with Neem Karoli Baba. The ashram may experience heavy crowds on weekends, special dates and the annual foundation-day period. Maintain silence, wear respectful clothing and follow all instructions issued by the ashram management. Continue towards the Kumaon lake circuit. Visit Bhimtal, known for its broad lake, promenade and peaceful surroundings. Proceed to Naukuchiatal, traditionally described as the lake of nine corners, and then to Sattal, a forested cluster of freshwater lakes. The order may be changed according to traffic, road conditions and the hotel's location. Optional boating may be available at one or more lakes. Each activity is payable directly and subject to weather, water conditions, operating hours and safety rules. Life jackets must be worn as directed. Additional adventure activities around the lake areas are not included. Later, return towards Nainital. Depending on time and group preference, visit Eco Cave Garden or proceed towards Tiffin Top for panoramic views. Tiffin Top may require walking, pony service or local transport. An optional ropeway experience may also be considered when operational. Entry tickets, pony charges, ropeway fares and local union vehicles are payable directly. Return to the hotel by evening. Enjoy dinner and the second overnight stay in Nainital.

    Overnight: Nainital

  3. Day 3 — Nainital — Corbett Waterfall — Jim Corbett: Jungle Resort & Optional Safari

After breakfast, check out from the Nainital hotel and begin the descent towards the Jim Corbett region. The journey moves from lake-country and pine-covered hills into lower forest landscapes, river corridors and wildlife buffer areas. Subject to route, accessibility and available time, stop at Corbett Waterfall. Entry and camera charges are payable directly. The path may be slippery during rain, and visitors should use suitable footwear and follow local safety instructions. Continue to the selected jungle resort and complete check-in. Spend time relaxing in the forest surroundings or proceed for a pre-booked jeep safari in an available buffer zone. Advance booking is strongly recommended because safari permits and authorised vehicles are limited. The source gives an indicative safari cost of approximately ₹8,500 per jeep, payable directly. The final price, safari zone, reporting point, vehicle capacity and timing depend on prevailing forest-department regulations and availability. Every participant must carry the same original photo identification used during booking. During the safari, remain seated in the vehicle, avoid loud conversation and follow the driver, naturalist and forest staff instructions. Wildlife sightings, including tiger sightings, are natural and cannot be guaranteed. When the evening safari is unavailable, relax at the resort or request a morning safari for Day 4, provided the departure schedule allows it. Return to the resort for dinner and overnight stay in the Jim Corbett region.

    Overnight: Corbett

  4. Day 4 — Optional Morning Safari — Jim Corbett — Dehradun Departure

Guests with a confirmed early-morning safari should report at the assigned gate or pickup point at the instructed time with original identification. Safari timing, zone and duration are controlled by the forest department and may be altered or cancelled because of weather, operational restrictions or wildlife-management requirements. Guests not taking the safari may enjoy a relaxed morning at the resort. After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey towards Dehradun through forest roads, river stretches and the connecting plains route. Lunch, tea and comfort breaks may be taken at suitable locations and are payable directly. Road travel may be delayed by traffic, weather, road work or weekend movement. Arrive in Dehradun by evening and receive the final drop at the airport, railway station, hotel or confirmed city point. Guests should maintain sufficient time before onward travel rather than booking a tightly timed connection. The tour concludes with memories of Nainital's lake serenity, Kainchi Dham's spiritual atmosphere and the forest wilderness of Jim Corbett.
