Day by day
- Day 1 — Arrival and transfer to Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. The valley capital, where seven UNESCO monument zones stand within an hour of each other and the old city has not stopped being a working one. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Kathmandu.

- Day 2 — Kathmandu to Bardia
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Bardia — a flight to Nepalgunj and a three-hour transfer north-west. The largest and quietest park in the Terai, on the Karnali, with the best tiger odds in Nepal. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, a tiger-tracking jeep safari on the Karnali floodplain. Overnight in Bardia.

- Day 3 — Bardia: River trip for gharial and the Gangetic dolphin
Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Bardia — a river trip for gharial and the Gangetic dolphin; a guided walk with a park naturalist and a Tharu village visit; and a tiger-tracking jeep safari on the Karnali floodplain. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Bardia.

Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Time for any last shopping before your transfer to Nepalgunj Airport for the onward flight. The tour ends here, and we hope it is not your last visit to Nepal.

- On a trekking package: the licensed trekking guide and porters, their wages, insurance and equipment. These are quoted separately, because they are priced per walking day and not per night.
- A separate accompanying city guide; the driver is not a licensed guide.
- Nepal visa fee on arrival and travel insurance, which must cover helicopter evacuation on any trekking package.
- Optional activities not named in the programme — the Everest scenic flight, paragliding, ultralight, bungee, rafting, jungle safaris and elephant-back rides.
- Meals other than those stated, hot showers and device charging on trek, bottled and alcoholic drinks, laundry and personal expenses.
- Tips for guides, porters and drivers.
- Extra nights, transport and meals caused by a delayed or cancelled mountain flight, which is a weather decision and not a schedule one.
