Day by day

  1. Day 1 — Arrival and transfer to Pokhara

    Arrive at Pokhara International Airport. Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Pokhara. A lake town under the Annapurnas, where Machhapuchhre stands 7,000 m above a boat on Phewa Tal. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Pokhara.

  2. Day 2 — Pokhara: Boat on Phewa lake to the Tal Barahi temple

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Pokhara — a boat on Phewa lake to the Tal Barahi temple; the Sarangkot sunrise over Annapurna and Machhapuchhre; and the World Peace Pagoda above the lake. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Pokhara.

  3. Day 3 — Pokhara to Jomsom

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Jomsom — a 20-minute mountain flight up the Kali Gandaki gorge. A windy trans-Himalayan town at 2,700 m in the deepest gorge on earth, between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Kali Gandaki gorge and its saligram fossil beds. Overnight in Jomsom.

  4. Day 4 — Jomsom: Marpha apple village and its distillery

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Jomsom — the Marpha apple village and its distillery; the Dhumba lake and the Thini village walk; and the Kali Gandaki gorge and its saligram fossil beds. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Jomsom.

  5. Day 5 — Jomsom to Muktinath

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Muktinath — a 22 km, ninety-minute jeep ride up the valley. A 3,710 m shrine sacred to Hindus and Buddhists alike, with 108 water spouts and a flame that burns on natural gas beside spring water. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Muktinath temple, its 108 spouts and the Jwala Mai eternal flame. Overnight in Muktinath.

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Jomsom — a 22 km, ninety-minute jeep ride down the valley.
