Day by day

1. Day 1 — Arrival and transfer to Yogyakarta

   Arrive at Yogyakarta International Airport. Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Yogyakarta. The Javanese court city — a living sultanate, batik workshops, and the two greatest temples in South East Asia on its doorstep. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Yogyakarta.

2. Day 2 — Yogyakarta: Borobudur Buddhist temple at sunrise

   Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Yogyakarta — the Borobudur Buddhist temple at sunrise; the Prambanan Hindu temple complex at sunset; and the Kraton sultan palace and the Taman Sari water castle. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Yogyakarta.

3. Day 3 — Yogyakarta: Malioboro Street, a batik workshop and a silver workshop at Kotagede

   Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Yogyakarta — Malioboro Street, a batik workshop and a silver workshop at Kotagede; the Jomblang cave light beam and the Timang beach gondola; and the Borobudur Buddhist temple at sunrise. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Yogyakarta.

4. Day 4 — Yogyakarta to Kuta

   Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Kuta — a ninety-minute flight. The original Bali beach town, ten minutes from the airport — a long surf beach, a night-market of a main street and everything open late. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, Kuta beach at sunset and a first surf lesson. Overnight in Kuta.

5. Day 5 — Kuta: Tanah Lot sea temple for the evening ceremony

   Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Kuta — the Tanah Lot sea temple for the evening ceremony; Waterbom Bali and the Beachwalk shopping promenade; and the Uluwatu clifftop temple and the Kecak fire dance. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Kuta.

6. Day 6 — Kuta: Seafood dinner on the sand at Jimbaran bay

   Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Kuta — a seafood dinner on the sand at Jimbaran bay; the Bali Bomb Memorial and the Kuta art market; and Kuta beach at sunset and a first surf lesson. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Kuta.

7. Day 7 — Kuta — departure

   Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Time for any last shopping before your transfer to Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar for the onward flight. The tour ends here, and we hope it is not your last visit to Indonesia.
