  1. Day 1 — Arrival and transfer to Kuala Lumpur

    Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA / klia2). Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian capital, where the Petronas Twin Towers stand over colonial shophouses, temple lanes and some of the best shopping in Asia. The rest of the day is free to settle in.   2. Day 2 — Kuala Lumpur: Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Park fountain show

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Kuala Lumpur — the Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Park fountain show; Batu Caves and its 272 painted steps to the Murugan shrine; and Merdeka Square, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and Masjid Jamek. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

  3. Day 3 — Kuala Lumpur to Genting Highlands

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Genting Highlands — a 55 km, one-hour climb into the Titiwangsa range. A resort city at 1,800 metres in the Titiwangsa range, reached by cable car and cool enough to need a jacket in the evening. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Awana SkyWay cable car and the Chin Swee Caves Temple. Overnight in Genting Highlands.

  4. Day 4 — Genting Highlands to Putrajaya

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Putrajaya — a 75 km, ninety-minute descent from the range. The garden federal capital on a man-made lake, built round the pink Putra Mosque and eight signature bridges. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Putra Mosque and Perdana Putra on Dataran Putra. Overnight in Putrajaya.

  5. Day 5 — Putrajaya to Malacca

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Malacca — a 120 km, ninety-minute drive. The old port of the Melaka Sultanate — a Dutch red square, Portuguese ruins and the antique shops of Jonker Street. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Dutch Square, Christ Church and the Stadthuys. Overnight in Malacca.

  6. Day 6 — Malacca: A Famosa gate and the ruins of St Paul Church

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Malacca — the A Famosa gate and the ruins of St Paul Church; a Melaka river cruise past the painted riverside houses; and Jonker Street and its weekend night market. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Malacca.
