Day by day

1. Day 1 — Arrival and transfer to Kuala Lumpur

   Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA / klia2). Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The Malaysian capital, where the Petronas Twin Towers stand over colonial shophouses, temple lanes and some of the best shopping in Asia. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

2. Day 2 — Kuala Lumpur: Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Park fountain show

   Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Kuala Lumpur — the Petronas Twin Towers and the KLCC Park fountain show; Batu Caves and its 272 painted steps to the Murugan shrine; and Merdeka Square, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and Masjid Jamek. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

3. Day 3 — Kuala Lumpur to Malacca

   Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Malacca — a 150 km, two-hour run down the North-South Expressway. The old port of the Melaka Sultanate — a Dutch red square, Portuguese ruins and the antique shops of Jonker Street. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Dutch Square, Christ Church and the Stadthuys. Overnight in Malacca.

4. Day 4 — Malacca: A Famosa gate and the ruins of St Paul Church

   Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Malacca — the A Famosa gate and the ruins of St Paul Church; a Melaka river cruise past the painted riverside houses; and Jonker Street and its weekend night market. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Malacca.

5. Day 5 — Malacca to Port Dickson

   Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Port Dickson — a 90 km, ninety-minute drive up the coast. The closest sea to Kuala Lumpur — a calm strait, an ostrich farm and the Cape Rachado lighthouse on its headland. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Blue Lagoon and Teluk Kemang beach. Overnight in Port Dickson.

6. Day 6 — Port Dickson: Cape Rachado lighthouse walk through coastal forest

   Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Port Dickson — the Cape Rachado lighthouse walk through coastal forest; the PD Ostrich Show Farm; and the Army Museum and the Lukut Fort ruins. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Port Dickson.

7. Day 7 — Port Dickson — departure

   Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Time for any last shopping before your transfer to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA / klia2) for the onward flight. The tour ends here, and we hope it is not your last visit to Malaysia.
