  1. Day 1 — Arrival and transfer to Kuching

    Arrive at Kuching International Airport. Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Kuching. The cat city on the Sarawak river — Chinatown shophouses, longhouse culture and semi-wild orangutans within an hour. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Kuching.

  2. Day 2 — Kuching: Semenggoh Wildlife Centre orangutan feeding

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Kuching — the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre orangutan feeding; the Sarawak Cultural Village at Damai; and the Kuching waterfront, the Astana and Fort Margherita. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Kuching.

  3. Day 3 — Kuching: Bako National Park by boat, for proboscis monkeys and bearded pigs

  4. Day 4 — Kuching to Mulu

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Mulu — a one-hour-forty-minute flight by way of Miri. A UNESCO karst wilderness holding the largest cave chamber on earth, and a bat exodus that darkens the sky at dusk. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Deer and Lang caves and the evening bat exodus. Overnight in Mulu.

  6. Day 6 — Mulu to Kota Kinabalu

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Kota Kinabalu — a one-hour-fifty-minute flight by way of Miri. The west-coast capital of Sabah under Mount Kinabalu, with reef islands twenty minutes offshore and a sunset market on the waterfront. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Tunku Abdul Rahman marine park islands of Manukan, Sapi and Mamutik. Overnight in Kota Kinabalu.

  7. Day 7 — Kota Kinabalu: Mari Mari Cultural Village

    Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Sandakan — a 45-minute flight. The wildlife coast of Borneo — orangutans, sun bears, proboscis monkeys and the slow brown Kinabatangan. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre feeding. Overnight in Sandakan.

    Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Sandakan — the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, the Rainforest Discovery Centre canopy walk and a Kinabatangan river wildlife cruise. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Sandakan.
