Day by day

  1. Day 1 — Dehradun Arrival — Sahastradhara Helipad — Helicopter to Gauchar — Joshimath — Auli

Arrive at Dehradun Airport or Railway Station, where the tour representative receives the group and assists with the transfer to Sahastradhara Helipad. Guests must report at least one hour before the scheduled helicopter departure with a valid physical identity document and printed flight ticket. Baggage must be packed in soft bags and restricted to the permitted helicopter allowance. After security, passenger-weight verification and the mandatory safety briefing, board the helicopter for Gauchar. The flight offers panoramic aerial views of forested valleys, river corridors, ridges and the Himalayan landscape. Flight operation and routing remain subject to weather, visibility, aviation clearance, technical requirements and the pilot's decision. Upon landing at Gauchar, meet the road-transport team and continue by private vehicle towards Joshimath and Auli. The route passes through the Alaknanda valley and mountain settlements. Depending on flight timing, daylight and road conditions, stop at Narsingh Temple in Joshimath, the winter seat associated with Lord Badrinath, for darshan. Continue towards Auli and check in at the selected boutique hotel or mountain lodge. When time and operations permit, visit the ropeway area or take an optional ropeway ride for panoramic mountain views. Ropeway tickets should be reconfirmed as the source describes the visit as guided but also presents it as weather-dependent and optional. Spend the evening relaxing amid the cold mountain environment. Enjoy dinner at the property and rest overnight in Auli. Guests should wear layered winter clothing and take care while walking on snowy or icy paths.

    Overnight: Auli

  2. Day 2 — Auli Snow Activities, Ropeway & Optional Gorson Bugyal Experience

Wake up to a Himalayan morning and, when the sky is clear, enjoy sunrise views across the surrounding snow peaks. After breakfast, proceed towards Auli's snow-activity area with the local guide or coordinator. Spend the day exploring the snow-covered slopes. Guests may choose optional activities such as beginner skiing, snowboarding, sledding or snow biking. Activity fees, equipment rental, instructors and protective gear are not included unless specifically confirmed. Participation depends on snow availability, weather, age, fitness and local safety rules. Guests preferring a relaxed experience may walk through snowy paths and apple-orchard areas, enjoy photography, spend time at scenic viewpoints or sit quietly amid the mountain landscape. The Auli Ropeway may be used during the day if it is operational and weather conditions are suitable. Queues and seasonal demand may affect the schedule. For physically fit and adventure-oriented travellers, an optional visit towards the Gorson Bugyal trek point may be arranged. This activity is subject to trail conditions, snow depth, visibility, daylight and guide availability. Guests should not attempt the route independently during heavy snow or poor weather. Return to the hotel by evening. Subject to property policy and weather, enjoy a bonfire or stargazing session. Have a warm dinner and spend the second night in Auli.

    Overnight: Auli

  3. Day 3 — Auli — Gauchar by Road — Helicopter to Dehradun — Departure

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin the return road journey towards Gauchar. Departure time is planned according to the assigned helicopter reporting schedule, mountain-road conditions and expected traffic. Guests should keep their printed ticket and identity document readily available. On arrival at Gauchar, complete the reporting, baggage and passenger-weight formalities. Board the return helicopter to Sahastradhara, subject to weather, visibility, aviation clearance and technical conditions. Enjoy final aerial views of the Himalayan valleys during the flight. After landing at Sahastradhara Helipad, meet the ground team and transfer to Dehradun Airport or Railway Station for the onward journey. Guests should avoid booking closely timed connections because helicopter operations may be delayed or cancelled by weather or operational restrictions. If the helicopter cannot operate, the operator may offer rescheduling, a helicopter-component refund subject to applicable deductions, or an alternate road-travel arrangement at a revised cost. Hotel, food, transfer and other third-party charges may remain payable according to the respective supplier policies.
