Day by day

  1. Day 1 — Dehradun — Nainital: Arrival in the Lake District

    Begin with an early-morning pickup from Dehradun Airport, Railway Station, hotel or the agreed city location. Meet the driver, load the luggage and proceed towards Kumaon. The journey initially follows the plains before gradually entering the forested foothills and mountain roads leading towards Nainital. Breakfast, lunch and comfort stops may be taken at suitable places en route. Lunch and refreshments are payable directly. Travel time may increase during weekends, holidays, summer vacations or because of road work and city traffic. On arrival in Nainital, proceed to the assigned hotel or the nearest permitted parking point. Vehicle movement is restricted in parts of the town, and local union transport may be required for certain inner-city transfers. Check in and take time to rest. In the evening, walk along Naini Lake and Mall Road according to the hotel's location and available daylight. Visit Naina Devi Temple on the lakeshore for darshan. Guests may opt for a boat ride through an authorised operator at their own cost. Boating depends on weather, lake conditions, queues and operating hours. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. The lake walk or temple visit may be shifted to the following day in case of a late arrival.

  2. Day 2 — Kainchi Dham & Kumaon Lake Circuit

    After breakfast, proceed towards Kainchi Dham Ashram, the spiritual centre associated with Neem Karoli Baba. The site can become heavily crowded on weekends and special dates, so the departure time may be adjusted. Maintain silence, modest dress and follow ashram instructions. Continue towards the surrounding Kumaon lake circuit. Visit Bhimtal, known for its broad lake and relaxed promenade. Continue to Sattal, a forested cluster of interconnected freshwater lakes, followed by Naukuchiatal, known as the lake of nine corners. The exact order may be changed to reduce traffic and improve travel flow. Guests may take optional boat rides at one or more lakes. Each boating activity is payable directly and subject to weather, water conditions and operator safety rules. Life jackets must be worn according to instructions. Depending on time, traffic and group preference, return towards Nainital and visit Eco Cave Garden, Tiffin Top or the ropeway area.   3. Day 3 — Nainital — Ranikhet: Temples, Pines & Colonial Calm

    After breakfast, check out from the Nainital hotel and begin the drive towards Ranikhet, a quiet cantonment town known for pine forests, military heritage and colonial-era charm. The route passes forested slopes, small Kumaoni settlements and valley viewpoints. On arrival, check in at the selected hotel or resort. Later, visit Jhula Devi Temple, known for the many bells offered by devotees. Continue to Mankameshwar Temple, subject to local timings and access conditions. Spend time walking through accessible pine-lined roads, ridges or cantonment surroundings. Photography may be restricted near sensitive military areas, and guests must follow posted instructions. Optional local attractions may be considered according to time, but any additional entry or vehicle cost is payable separately.   4. Day 4 — Ranikhet — Kausani: Tea Estate & Himalayan Horizon

    After breakfast, check out and drive towards Kausani, a ridge-top destination known for wide Himalayan views. The road passes through villages, terraced fields, pine-covered slopes and quiet hill landscapes. En route, stop at the Sumitranandan Pant Gallery, subject to its opening hours. The gallery is associated with the celebrated Hindi poet born in Kausani and offers insight into his literary legacy. On arrival in Kausani, check in at the selected hotel or resort. Visit Anasakti Ashram, associated with Mahatma Gandhi's stay and reflections on the Bhagavad Gita. Maintain silence and respect the ashram's rules. Continue to the Kausani Tea Estate for a walk through the tea-growing landscape. Tea-estate access, factory visits and tasting experiences depend on working hours, season and local permission. Any special guided activity or purchase is payable directly. Subject to clear weather, enjoy views of Nanda Devi, Trishul and Panchachuli. Sunset and the following morning's sunrise are among Kausani's key experiences, but visibility cannot be guaranteed because of clouds, haze or rain. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Kausani.

  5. Day 5 — Kausani — Jim Corbett: From Himalayan Ridges to Forest Country

    Wake up early to view the Himalayan sunrise from the hotel or an accessible viewpoint, subject to weather and visibility. After breakfast, check out and begin the descent towards Jim Corbett. The route gradually moves from tea gardens and high ridges to lower hills, river valleys and forested landscapes. Take lunch and comfort breaks at suitable locations. Lunch is payable directly. Arrive in the Corbett region and check in at the selected jungle resort. After settling in, spend the evening at leisure or proceed for a pre-booked jeep safari in an available buffer zone.     After breakfast, check out from the jungle resort and begin the return journey to Dehradun. Travel through forested roads, river stretches and the connecting plains route. Short tea, lunch and comfort stops may be taken according to the group's progress. Lunch and refreshments are payable directly. The journey may be delayed by traffic, road work, weather or weekend movement. Arrive in Dehradun by evening and receive the final drop at the airport, railway station, hotel or agreed city point.
