- Day 1 — Arrival and transfer to Ubud
Arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar. Clear immigration and baggage, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Ubud. The cultural heart of Bali in the foothills — rice terraces, a palace, a monkey forest and a gallery or a gamelan on every lane. The rest of the day is free to settle in. Overnight in Ubud.

- Day 2 — Ubud: Tegallalang rice terraces and a swing over the valley
Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Ubud — the Tegallalang rice terraces and a swing over the valley; the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and the Ubud Palace; and the Tirta Empul holy water temple and Goa Gajah. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Ubud.

- Day 4 — Ubud to Senggigi
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Senggigi — a transfer to Denpasar and a thirty-minute flight to Lombok. The main beach strip of Lombok, looking across at Bali, with Rinjani rising behind it. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Batu Bolong temple on its headland at sunset. Overnight in Senggigi.

- Day 5 — Senggigi: Sasak village of Sade and a hand-weaving demonstration
Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Senggigi — the Sasak village of Sade and a hand-weaving demonstration; the Malimbu hill viewpoint over the Gili islands; and the Benang Kelambu and Benang Stokel waterfalls. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Senggigi.

- Day 6 — Senggigi to Labuan Bajo
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Labuan Bajo — a one-hour-ten-minute flight east along the archipelago. The harbour town at the western tip of Flores, and the only way into the Komodo National Park. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Komodo dragons on Rinca or Komodo island. Overnight in Labuan Bajo.

- Day 7 — Labuan Bajo: Padar island viewpoint over three coloured bays
Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Labuan Bajo — the Padar island viewpoint over three coloured bays; the Pink Beach and the Manta Point snorkel; and a sunset from Kalong island as the flying foxes leave. The evening is free for dinner and a walk on your own. Overnight in Labuan Bajo.

- Day 8 — Labuan Bajo to Yogyakarta
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Leave for Yogyakarta — a flight by way of Denpasar, about four hours in all. The Javanese court city — a living sultanate, batik workshops, and the two greatest temples in South East Asia on its doorstep. Check in on arrival and, as the day allows, the Borobudur Buddhist temple at sunrise. Overnight in Yogyakarta.

- Day 9 — Yogyakarta: Prambanan Hindu temple complex at sunset
Breakfast at the hotel. A full day in Yogyakarta — the Prambanan Hindu temple complex at sunset; the Kraton sultan palace and the Taman Sari water castle; and Malioboro Street, a batik workshop and a silver workshop at Kotagede. - Day 11 — Yogyakarta — departure
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Time for any last shopping before your transfer to Yogyakarta International Airport for the onward flight. The tour ends here, and we hope it is not your last visit to Indonesia.

- International airfare to and from Indonesia, and airport taxes on it.
- Entrance fees, temple donations, sarong hire and activity charges at the places the day programme names — temples, waterfalls, rice-terrace swings, cruises, marine parks and national parks. Quoted on request or paid direct at the gate.
- A separate accompanying guide; the driver is not a licensed guide.
- Indonesia visa on arrival, the Bali tourist levy and travel insurance.
- Optional tours and activities not named in the programme — diving courses, water sports, spa and cooking classes.
- Meals other than those stated, room service, alcoholic and bottled beverages, laundry and personal expenses.
- Compulsory Gala Dinner supplements over Christmas Eve, New Year Eve and Nyepi period surcharges.
- Nyepi, the Balinese day of silence, closes the island and the airport for 24 hours; nothing operates that day.

- Anything arising from circumstances outside our control — flight or fast-boat cancellation, swell, volcanic activity or a change of government levy.
